How Resting Sycamore handles your information
This policy covers our website and the Medicare on Your Terms iPhone app. Most of it applies to both. Section 7 covers the app specifically.
1. Information you choose to send
If you fill out a contact form, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and message. We use it to respond to your Medicare question or contact request.
Do not send your Medicare Beneficiary Identifier, Social Security number, payment information, or medical records through a website form.
2. Website information
The site may collect basic technical information, such as pages visited, browser type, device type, referring page, and approximate location from an IP address. We use that information to understand site performance and improve the pages.
3. How we use your information
We use contact information to answer your question, call or email you, keep records of the request, and support Medicare-related service. We do not sell your information, from the website or the app.
4. When information may be shared
We may share information when needed to respond to your request, work with approved service providers, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or maintain site operations. We do not share your information with unrelated companies so they can market to you.
5. Your choices
You can ask us to stop contacting you. You can also ask what contact information we have from your request and ask us to correct or delete it when we are able to do so.

7. The Medicare on Your Terms app
We publish an iPhone app called Medicare on Your Terms. It works differently from this website, so this section explains it on its own.
The app works without an account
There is no sign-up, no login, and no password. You do not give us your name to use it.
Your answers stay on your phone
When you use a tool in the app — checking a sign-up window, estimating a penalty, comparing costs — the calculation happens on your device. We never see what you typed. If you choose to save a result, it is stored on your phone only, and you can delete it in the app at any time.
We deliberately do not ask for sensitive details
The app does not ask for your Medicare number, Social Security number, bank details, tax returns, doctor names, drug names, or diagnoses. If a tool needs a figure to do its work, it asks for the smallest one that will do — a birth month, a ZIP code, a monthly amount.
There is no tracking and no advertising
The app contains no advertising software, no analytics software, and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you and we have nothing to sell to anyone else.
The app checks for updated Medicare figures
Once a year Medicare publishes new premiums, penalties, and thresholds. So the app’s math stays current, it downloads a small public file of those figures from our servers. That request sends nothing about you — no identifier, no answers, no saved results. It is the same file for everyone, and you can read it yourself at config.restingsycamore.com/medicare-guide/annual-values.json.
Reminders, if you turn them on
The app can remind you about Medicare deadlines. If you allow notifications, the reminders are created and stored on your phone. We do not receive them and we do not know which ones you set. The reminder text is kept general on purpose, so a notification on your lock screen does not reveal anything about your health or coverage.
When you contact us from the app
Some screens offer to send us an email or text message. Nothing is sent automatically. The app opens your own Mail or Messages app with a draft, and you decide whether to send it, after you have read it. Once you send it, the information you included is handled the way Sections 1, 3, 4, and 5 of this policy describe. The contact details you type into the app are cleared when you close it — they are not saved on your phone.
What Apple sees
We do not receive any personal information from Apple about who downloads the app. Apple’s own privacy policy covers the App Store and any diagnostics you have chosen to share with Apple.
Children
The app is built for people approaching or already on Medicare. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
Because your answers and saved results live on your phone, you control them. Deleting a saved result removes it. Deleting the app removes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on our end, because we never had it.
Google Ads management tool
We use a private internal tool called Resting Sycamore Ads Manager to manage only our own Google Ads account. The tool uses Google OAuth to access campaign, ad, keyword, budget, conversion, performance, and policy information. Access is limited to Resting Sycamore's owner and authorized internal automation. We do not offer the tool to customers, access third-party Google Ads accounts, or sell or share Google Ads account data. OAuth credentials are stored securely, and access can be revoked through Google Account permissions.
